About the Author
Edward Iglesias was born in Laredo, Texas and lived there much of his life. The environmental bias caused by living in a bilingual, bicultural society has permanently affected his outlook on life. As a result he is drawn to subjects that dont easily fit description or are a blend of many things. His latest book Robots in Academic Libraries is a good example as the field of library automation and technology is always in flux.

After leaving Laredo, Mr. Iglesias taught English at various colleges in Houston before deciding to venture into the world of libraries by getting his MLIS at the University of Texas. From there he quickly settled into academic libraries and has worked in the field ever since.

Currently Mr. Iglesias is researching the role of maker spaces in libraries as a way for libraries to continue to be relevant and provide communities of creation for their users.

The last man (barely) standing...

The latest book in the Matt Drake series and unlike some series, this one keeps getting better and better. This is another (almost) non-stop action with all hell breaking loose and plenty of WTF moments! Drake and the team finally get to go up against the Coyote and it doesn't disappoint. You might need a scorecard to keep track of everyone because that action is fast and furious and who is fighting who is at times a little mind boggling (I had to re-read a few pages a few times to keep it straight)! All in all a really fun book to read.

If you have read the previous Matt Drake books but not this, you have to get it.

For those of you up to date except for this book, the ending will give you an idea of where things are going (Hopefully you will be as happy with the direction as I was).

If you haven't read the Matt Drake series and you are looking for some kick butt action, explosions, mayhem and all the good stuff that goes along with it, give this series a try. You just might like it!

Still Standing

A well written, fast paced confrontation between Drake and the SPEAR team and Coyote comes to a head as they learn of their next challenge. The characters we've come to know combine to take on Coyote with their own special talents and we get a hint of Disavowed joining them for their next challenge. This book has all the action, suspense and twists we've come to expect with Drake and the SPEAR team. It will be hard to wait for the next book.

David Ledbetter is putting out hit after hit with his stories. The Matt Drake series is one that will keep you glued to the story and at the end you want more. Can't wait for the next one coming out in 2015. I'm also looking forward for the spin off of the Matt Drake series to see what happens. If it is anything like this series it will be great. I highly recommend you read this series if not the first one at least read the last book.
