Just when I think it can't possibly get any better, Christina Lauren shows up with this...

I hope no one was watching me through the window as I read this book because I realized, at least 16 times, that I was reading with a stupid cheesy smile on my face the entire time... anyway...
Beautiful Beloved, a Beautiful Bastard novella, follows Max Stella and his wife, Sara, as they navigate the first few months after the birth of their daughter. Known for their exhibitionism and kinky lifestyle in Beautiful Stranger, Max and Sara might secretly be longing to get back to their tawdry ways, but now, seeing each other as parents, makes it difficult to juxtapose who they once were with who they are now. This story follows them through the series of mishaps that plagues them as they try to find the happy medium between being new parents, and the sexually adventurous Max and Sara they once were.
Told in alternating first person points of view, we get the whole picture here... Max and Sara's secret desires, their innermost feelings, and the perspectives of their hilarious friends as they try to resume their respective social lives. This is a whole new Max Stella. I fell in love with Max's vulgarity and dominance in Beautiful Stranger, but with Beautiful Beloved comes a sweeter side of him, an emotional, sentimental side that I love equally. His love for Sara seems grander, more complete, as he sees her in a light he couldn't before pre-motherhood. Sara struggles with her longing to be seen as a woman, not just as a mother in this novella. Max can't help feeling like he has to be careful with this fragile little flower petal, but Sara just wants him to take her as he always had before. Beautiful Beloved maintains the humor and the sexually steamy nature that the entire Beautiful Bastard series is renowned for, but there's a delicious sweetness, a softness to this installment that makes me love the dynamic between Max and Sara in a way I hadn't before.
The banter and witty personalities that make up this group of friends never gets old, in fact it gets better and better as the group grows and changes. It's laugh out loud funny while still feeling genuine. Will and Bennett giving Max a hard time for wearing the baby to work in a carrier... Chloe, Hannah and George discussing post-baby sex with Sara... the writing and the dialogue in this entire book is just perfect. Rife with humor, but honest and real, it makes me wish I could read Christina Lauren books all day everyday. Beautiful Beloved also briefly introduces Max's brother, Niall, who gets his own story in the next full-length installment, Beautiful Secret, and I can not wait for more of him. He's a delicious addition to this addictive group of characters and I'm foaming at the mouth for more of his story.
The writing team of Christina Lauren never ceases to knock me off my feet. This entire series is completely consuming and addictive and just when you think it can't get any better, they show up once again with more deliciousness. Sexually charged, wrought with humor and sarcasm, and overflowing with sweet and salty romance, Christina Lauren delivers yet another unexpected, yet completely surprising, addition to the Beautiful Bastard series with Beautiful Beloved.

Funny, sexy, and sweet! Loved this so much!

I loved this so much! It made me so happy to read and I'm pretty sure I smiled the whole time.
I loved getting to see Max and Sara again and meet their adorable baby. My heart was bursting. This was told from dual POV’s and it made me extremely happy to catch up on everything with them. Daddy Max is the sweetest, sexiest thing ever! I loved this story of them being together after having the baby, working out their new life as a family and getting back to them. It was so relatable. The internal dialogue in relation to grown-up-alone-time and being tired was perfect. There were so many times in this I laughed out loud, it was freaking hysterical in parts. At one point I had tears in my eyes because I couldn't stop laughing.
I loved that all my favorite Beautiful people were in this and it was great getting to see everyone. The men around the baby was pretty spectacular. I loved how Will was with her, so precious. I loved George in this, he just added to the fun.
As fun and entertaining as this was, it was also extremely sweet and loving. There were some really true moments that brought a nice level of emotion to everything. It was just wonderful. Along with that sweet, was the chemistry that Max and Sara have that pulls you into their relationship. This story was also pretty darn sexy! It definitely had that added Max and Sara hotness and kink factor that I love.
Niall, Max’s brother, was introduced in this story and he seems like the biggest sweetheart. I am super excited for his story and to fall in love with a new Beautiful man. Up next, Beautiful Secret.
Another wonderful story from the dynamic duo of Christina Lauren. A fun and delightful read, topped off with just the right amount of sexy! 5 beautiful stars!

Max is back and sexier as ever!

There are very few characters like Max Stella…for this Georgia girl he is the epitome of what my fantasy man is…tall, dark, handsome, rich, sexy and let us not forget British. In Beautiful Stranger not only did he sweep Sara off her feet, he did the same with me. Max made taking pictures and videos of sexcapades seem like something I wanted to grab my husband as say, “Let’s try this at home!” They made public sex seem totally exciting! Max, Max, Max you owned me in Beautiful Stranger, so when I found out you and Sara had a little book coming out about your life with new baby Beloved, I was beside myself in anticipation.
Beautiful Beloved was simply perfect. Christina Lauren couldn’t have written this book better. The emotions and the physical drain of a new baby were captured so realistically. If you have ever been the parent of a newborn, you will understand what I mean when you read these pages. I laughed my ass off, yet there were other times I wept openly, not just for Max and Sarah navigating life with an infant, but knowing how time flies and before you know it your baby Beloved is going to college. That is how much Beautiful Beloved touched me.
As Max and Sara try to steer through their new world, they realize they might be losing part of their sexual relationship. There are so many tender parts in this story where Max is just in awe of his wife and to say his emotions for her are lovely is an understatement. I love how there is such reverence for Sara when she is nursing. I love how his world is now consumed by these two females. I love how he talks with friends about his love for his family and new life without embarrassment and with such adoration. You can’t help but fall more in love with Max and be envious of Sara but in the best possible way.
As with any Christina Lauren book, these 2 amazing writers nail the Britishisms and true essence of their characters. There is nothing sexier than a man holding his baby to his chest….his Beloved….with so much love and you continuously feel this throughout this novella. For all you Max and Sara fans out there, you will not be disappointed. This new life of theirs is even more wonderful now. And in closing, if I thought one Stella man was enough, Max’s brother Niall brings a whole new meaning to #sexyStella. I can’t wait to get my hands on his book. Until then, enjoy this beautiful ride of Max and Sara….5 Beloved Stars!
